The Inner Courtyard is a selection of twelve masala incense divided into two boxed sets of six 20g packets. Dawn is suggested for daytime use and Dusk for the evening. These are, however, simply convenient ways to categorise certain blends of fragrance rather than strict rules, you may find either suits you at any time of day or night!

We have enjoyed sampling hundreds of incense from small and large workshops across India over the last year, so the idea of creating a brand of our own seemed like a natural next step. We didn't want to just draw on and re-brand our existing stock; instead, we set out to find makers whose work had rarely been available in the West before. We found workshops and producers making incense of great quality, and these selections represent the incense that stood out for us as the best of this tradition.

Our tastes incline more toward rich ambers and sandalwoods, and our first collection naturally reflects that.

If you're new to Indian incense, any of these will give you a sense of what fine, natural incense is like. If you're already familiar with this type of incense, we think you'll appreciate and enjoy what we've chosen.
