Cauvery 'Vishwa Sandal'
Some of the nicest sandalwood we've offered to date. This is a pale, South Indian style sandal— creamy rather than dark or resinous, closer to the scent of sandalwood paste freshly ground on a wet stone.
The sticks are unusually long at 30cm and burn nearly two hours each, which is why there are only five to a packet rather than the usual ten or twenty. It sounds like a small number but these are special sticks which we are offering at a very modest price.
A quick note on presentation: The incense was completely undamaged but these arrived from Cauvery in packets that hadn't survived the journey too well so rather than send out shabby packets our assistant in India repackaged them by hand into glassine envelopes. Decorative labels will be added to each envelope.
Note: Vishwa (विश्व, viśva) is Sanskrit/Hindi for "world" or "universe" — so 'Vishwa Sandal' translates straightforwardly as "World Sandalwood" or "Universal Sandalwood." A common name in Indian branding, not specific to incense or spirituality — used the way a Western brand might use "Global" or "Universal" to suggest broad appeal or premium standing, rather than carrying any specific religious or philosophical significance.
